The latest firmware (1.53) with 4G fix is from May so I must have received a unit packaged some time ago. After upgrading it connected right away. For Verizon you don’t need to enter a username, password or anything else. Simply select Verizon LTE on the mobile WAN setup screen and you’re set. It takes about a minute or so to get a connection after plugging the USB modem in.
I’m still researching if there are any further settings I need to adjust to get the speed up a bit. When I connect the UML290 directly to my laptop I get almost 20Mbps down and 8Mbps up. When connecting my laptop, iPhone, or iPad through the router I’m getting at most 8Mbps down and barely 1Mbps…
